Here's a list of my favorite software! The software listed is Freeware and fully functional. Shareware and demos are not listed. This software is free for unlimited use with not cost to you at all! Click on the links below to download the software.

  • Note Attack Trying to learn the notes on sheet music? This program not only teaches you the notes but is a blast! It's a small program, very simplistic and very well written. The program opens up and you see the treble cleff and base cleff and the notes move from right to left. You have to guess the right note before it hits the other end of the screen. There's cool effects of gunshots and explosions! You can vary the speed of the notes as well as the range of notes displayed. For all you musicians out there, this one is a must!   • Unit Converter Convert is an easy to use unit conversion program that will convert the most popular units of distance, temperature, volume, time, speed, mass, power, density, pressure, energy and many others, including the ability to create custom conversions!   • IrfanView Can't open that file? Try Irfanview! Irfanview is an image viewer and converter (great for converting large bitmaps to small jpegs). The list of file types supported is extensive:

  • Belarc Advisor This software builds a detailed profile of your installed software and hardware and displays the results in your Web browser.   • Zone Alarm Stops hackers dead in their tracks. ZoneAlarm is designed to protect your DSL or cable-connected PC from hackers. This program includes four interlocking security services: a firewall, an Application Control, an Internet Lock, and Zones. The firewall controls the door to your computer and allows only traffic that you understand and initiate. The Application Control allows you to decide which applications can and cannot use the Internet. The Internet Lock blocks Internet traffic while your computer is unattended or while you are not using the Internet, and it can be activated automatically with your computer's screensaver or after a set period of inactivity. Zones monitor all activity on your computer and alert you when a new application attempts to access the Internet. Very user friendly - easy to understand and setup!
  • AVG Antivirus Tired of paying fees to update your antivirus software? Want the best, the one that all the computer guys use, free of charge? Then get AVG! This is a free program that includes free software updates (free virus definitions to catch the latest viruses out there). This one caught a virus on my computer that Norton didn't catch!
  • WebStripper Web stripper will allow you to 'extract' a web site. You can save it to CD or your hard drive for offline viewing at a later time. You can set the preferences to extract a certain number of pages deep, include or exclude graphics, stay on one site or go to other domains, etc. to save space. Great for browsing sites on computers that don't have an internet connection. If you save a site to your hard drive your 'virtual internet speed' is at it's maximum!
